The Swine Medicine Education Center is dedicated to providing veterinary students and practicing veterinarians from across the United States and around the world with extensive hands-on experiences and education in swine health and production

Since its launch in late 2010, SMEC has significantly expanded its reach. SMEC engages with veterinarians overseeing health care for approximately 65% of Iowa’s pig farms.
